Ever wonder why your Mozzafiato pizza comes out a little darker? 🍕🔥

It’s intentional.

At Mozzafiato, our pizzas are baked well-done to develop the color, texture, and flavor we’re looking for in every pie.

That deeper bake gives the crust its crisp exterior, adds flavor through caramelization and char, and creates the structure that makes every bite different from a pale, soft pizza crust.

And yes… check the bottom. 👀

Those darker spots are part of the bake.

Dark doesn’t automatically mean burnt. It means we let the dough develop the color and texture that make a Mozzafiato pie what it is.

Crisp outside. Light and airy inside. Plenty of flavor.

Recently, our staff has been unfairly attacked regarding our Friday slice policy, so we'd like to explain why it exists.

Every Friday, we offer one of the largest selections of NY and Roman-Style pizza around. Because our slice selection changes constantly throughout the day and demand is extremely high, we do not take phone orders for slices on Fridays.

Why?

• It would require our staff to go through every available slice with every caller, slowing service for everyone. • We cannot guarantee those slices will still be available by the time you arrive because customers in the store are ordering them in real time. • We'd rather be honest upfront than promise something we may not be able to deliver.
This policy has been in place since day one. It isn't directed at any one customer, and it doesn't change based on the size of an order. It's simply the fairest way to serve everyone while maintaining the quality and speed we're known for.
We understand not everyone will agree with our policies, and that's okay. Every business has standards that allow it to operate successfully. Ours are built around quality, fairness, and consistency—not changing the rules every time someone disagrees with them.

To the thousands of loyal customers who respect our staff and understand why these policies exist, thank you. Your support allows us to keep doing what we love every single day.

We will always listen to constructive feedback, but we will never compromise our standards or allow our team to be unfairly attacked for enforcing policies that exist to provide the best possible experience for everyone.
